Some information

The Portes du Soleil is one of the largest ski areas in the world, with 12 linked resorts either side of the French-Swiss border, including: Abondance, Avoriaz, Châtel, La Chapelle d’Abondance, Les Gets, Montriond, Morzine-Avoriaz, St Jean d’Aulps, Champéry, Morgins, Torgon, Val-d’Illiez – Les Crosets – Champoussin.

The popular and ever appealing Morzine region offers a huge variety of terrain which is renowned as absolutely perfect for skiers and boarders of all abilities. If you’re a complete beginner, or you’re advanced and love to test your skills, whether prefer the pistes or the more challenging off-piste, there will definitely be something you’ll love. If you’re looking to pull off some tricks and stunts, there’s also a range of Snowparks, where you can show off your talents and get some practice at your jibbing and kickers at the Baby Parks, before you move on to the Big Boy playgrounds that are the 10 main Snowparks themselves.

The whole ski area of Morzine enjoys exceptionally good snowfall, from mid-November through to the end of April, with an average of 8m of powder every year, so there’s plenty of time for a long trip..or even 2 if you fancy!

Don’t forget that when you stay at one of Snowytrees chalets in Morzine, we can assist you with getting hold of your ski pass and sorting out transfer requirements.
